PRE-ORDER: Ghost Notes

Ghost Notes was born from an evening in New Orleans, sitting in the wooden room of Preservation Hall, surrounded by worn benches and the intimate sound of live jazz. The musicians played within inches of the audience, and as the music moved through the room, it felt as though the walls themselves had begun to remember.

There was something beneath the notes. And for a moment, the boundary between past and present felt very thin.

The name comes from the musical idea of the ghost note, a note that is softened, muted, or barely articulated, yet remains essential to the rhythm. You may not consciously hear it, but without it, something changes.

So it is with the ancestors. They may be absent from the room, yet present in what we carry.

They are in the cadence of a voice, the movement of a hand, the instinct to create, the stories that survived, the rituals that endured, and the rhythms that crossed generations when almost everything else was taken away.
