PRE-ORDER: Second Bloom

For the moment when you realize you are alive again.

Second Bloom is a spell oil for renewal, hope, and the return of life after a long season of darkness. Inspired by marigolds gathered in Mexico and by the Maya imagery I encountered at the Museo Nacional de Antropología, it draws from a world where earth, water, death, birth, and the underworld are not separate realms, but parts of a continuous cycle. Shells, water, and flowers became especially resonant to me as symbols of this passage: the earth that receives us, the darkness where something waits unseen, and the water from which life emerges.

There is a particular kind of rebirth that does not happen all at once. It begins quietly, beneath the surface. Something in you goes dormant. You retreat, become still, disappear from view. And somewhere in that darkness, without anyone witnessing it, a new form begins to take shape. Like a seed beneath the earth, you are not gone. You are becoming.

Second Bloom is for the moment of emergence: the first breath of new air, the warmth of sunlight on skin that has been hidden away, the strange tenderness of inhabiting a self that feels newly made. Not a return to who you were before, but the beginning of something that could only grow from everything you have lived through.

Use this oil to mark a new chapter, welcome hope after a difficult season, revive parts of yourself that have gone dormant, or invite fresh energy into a life that feels possible again.
