I started Fu Ceramics in 2019, and unofficially closed it in 2025. At the time, I didn’t think about the work in magical terms. Now, looking back, I see how much of what I was making already centered around the elements: earth, water, air, and fire, brought together through weeks to months of hands-on work.

I was best known for my Lo Lo Tong necklaces, which translate to “every road is open.” For years, I was obsessively making road opener talismans without really thinking about them that way.

It feels fitting now to include some of these pieces I made into this Solar Return collection.
