Calamus is known as a “celestial herb,” believed to increase longevity, improve memory, and heal a thousand ailments. It was cultivated in imperial palaces as a reminder of immortality. Paired with mugwort tigers, it formed a powerful barrier against poisonous beings and wandering spirits.
Peach wood has long been revered as a sacred material, often used to carve protective talismans and amulets. Fun fact: combs made of peach wood help unblock channels in the head.
